BEzzy Apps

Healthline Media | RVO Health

Bezzy is a collection of community-based apps, looking to connect users with chronic conditions to others with similar experience. I had worked on Healthline Media’s Together apps which were the predecessors for the Bezzy apps.

Coming into Bezzy, I was asked to redesign previous mobile and desktop assets like splash screens, icons, and other illustrations occurring throughout the UX with a new style that captured more of Bezzy’s humanity.

I kept some of Together’s organic fluidity and added a touch of structure with the use of vector paths and shapes.

The initial launch of the apps was under an incredibly challenging timeline that forced us to be extremely efficient with our designs.

Since many of the icons would be repurposed across all communities, I designed them in Adobe Illustrator so I could recolor them quickly.

This allowed me to give more time and care to creating characters for each community that captured a story about what life with a chronic condition can look like when you are not only supported, but empowered and understood.

The design solution presented in the interest of time also ended up benefitting the overall look of the apps by creating a cohesive look throughout the UX without losing some unique illustrations specific to each Bezzy community.
